Doctors of Internal medicine treat adult patients and help consult other doctors on difficult diagnoses. Most doctors of internal medicine have extensive education on how to prevent and treat disease in adults. Internists are always prepared to help the patient, no matter how common or rare the disease.

Pravinchandra Patel, M.D.

Dr. Patel has been on staff at MVA since 1974. He is a Board Certified Internist. He earned his Medical Degree at Medical College of Baroda, India.

Rubayat Rahman, M.D., MPH

Dr. Rahman is MVA’s Medical Director.  She is a Board Certified Internist and joined MVA’s staff in 2009.  She received her Medical Degree from Dhaka Medical College.  She received her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  Dr. Rahman completed her residency at West Virginia School of Medicine.
